Unity: I see unity happening all around me. I see people dancing and singing from their hearts as they move in small balconies. I hear more hellos from my neighbors who never spoke to me before. I see more people focusing on positivity. I watch more people wanting to meditate. I see us all realizing, we are all one. In the midst of it all, there is always some good. March also happens to be Cerebral Palsy month. My friend Paula who I’m pictured with has cerebral palsy and she’s amazing. We teamed up together to share some mindfulness tips and body positivity during these days when our community in Miami needs it the most.
Purpose of Meditation: Pau and I both meditate. Meditation is proven to make people feel happier, calmer, more successful and create more of what they want in their life. Doing 5 minutes every morning can have profound life changing effects.

How to Make Meditation a Habit: It takes 21 days to form a habit. I decided to every morning start an instagram meditation group called “Meditate with Me in the Your Underwear.” I decided to make it fun and body positive by doing it in my underwear. I have the “Get Ready With Me” dancing videos which chronicle me getting ready in the a.m. dancing, brushing my teeth, putting on workout clothes and honestly I wasn’t expecting so many people to dig the videos let along tag me doing their own– so my hope is to help them get meditating too through these – especially now, when the world needs more peace than ever.
Playlist & Meditate Steps: I created a Spotify Playlist with meditation music called “Meditate in Your Underwear.” to help people just wake up, drink their first cup of coffee, sit down, press play and get it over and done with. All they have to do to participate is: 1. Sit down comfortably 2. Rest their hands on their legs (palms up is always good to receive good vibes). 3. Inhaale & exhale (5 times back to back) this helps people relax quickly. 4. Press play on spotify playlist 5. Close eyes 6. Observe thoughts and let them go till song is over and that means their meditation is, too. That easy.
Hope you all can join, too. xx Namaste, Annie
